The fifth annual SunDogs Auction Extravaganza will be held April 8 at the Eagles Club in Swift Current.  Approximately $50,000 has been raised for SunDogs athletics and scholarships over the past four years. Among this year's live-auction items are:

• Two tickets plus hotel accommodations for the 2011 Grey Cup in Vancouver, courtesy of Dash Tours
• One-week houseboat rental (six-to-eight people) on Lac La Ronge, courtesy of Eagle Point Resort
• One-week stay on Tobin Lake, courtesy of Pruden’s Point Resort and Cabins
• Three-night stay in Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, courtesy of Waterton Lakes Lodge and Resorts
• Two weekend passes to Craven Country Jamboree
• Diamond necklace and matching earrings, courtesy of Heinrich Jewellery in Saskatoon
• Autographed sports jerseys: Joe Sakic (Colorado Avalanche), Wendel Clark (Toronto Maple Leafs), Darian Durant (Saskatchewan Roughriders), Travis Moen (Montreal Canadiens), Haley Wickenheiser (Team Canada)

Presented in part by Melhoff Electric and Stark & Marsh Chartered Accountants, this year's event gets underway at 6:30 p.m. with happy hour, a silent auction, and Auction X. The live auction will commence at 8 p.m. with a buffet, courtesy of Boston Pizza, to be served at halftime.

Tickets are $10 apiece and available at Great Plains College or Pharmasave. Tables of eight are also available for reservation by calling Vicky at 778-5463. More information, including an updated list of auction items and sponsors, will be posted here as it is confirmed.
