In January 2011, Great Plains College partnered with a number of local club volleyball teams in Swift Current to create the Swift Current Junior SunDogs volleyball program. Four teams currently compete under the Junior SunDogs banner. All four will play a full tournament schedule, including provincials, in 2011, while two more will go on to play for the Western Canadian championship in May.
