University | Great Plains College

Thinking about university but not quite ready to move to the big city, or share classrooms with 200 other people? Great Plains College offers university programming from both the University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina. You can take your first year (and sometimes more) of almost any program at Great Plains College. Ready for a longer-term commitment? We can help with that too, offering a full four-year U of R degree in social work and a full three-year degree in sociology from the U of S. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNIVERSITY STUDENTS MUST FILL OUT BOTH AN APPLICATION TO THEIR UNIVERSITY OF CHOICE ALONG WITH A GPC APPLICATION FORM TO ENROLL.

University class sizes at GPC are moderately sized, closer to home, and can help ease the transition from high school into university. They're flexible too. While a wide selection of courses at Swift Current Campus are offered face-to-face in a classroom setting, many are also televised or available online. Our other learning locations in Biggar, Gravelbourg, Kindersley, Maple Creek, Outlook, Rosetown, and Warman also offer a wide range of televised and web-based options.

We can't exactly let you take the money and run, but we're always happy to throw a few dollars your way whenever we can. Enroll in university through GPC and you'll be eligible for scholarships from your university of study as well as from GPC. Have a Grade 12 average of 70 per cent or higher? Your GPC scholarship alone could range from $1500-4000. Students taking a full-time face-to-face university course load at Swift Current Campus are also eligible to play for the SunDogs Athletics program and receive athletic scholarships on top of other awards they may receive. Please note that university students must fill out both an application to their university of study along with a GPC application form to enroll.
