Come and experience an adult interactive learning exercise that illustrates how we went from a time when Indigenous peoples used and occupied all of the land, we now call Canada, to a time when land reserved for Indigenous peoples has been reduced to only a very tiny part of Canada’s land mass. The script walks the participants through the federal laws and policies used to assimilate the original peoples of Canada into European culture. It is a history that has only recently come into the light through the sharing of the stories of survivors during the Truth and Reconciliation hearings held across Canada.
Admission is free and anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP by February 24 by calling (306) 463-6431.
