About the Project

The college is developing a new student residence located on Sidney Street East. The building was acquired in 2024 and will be renovated to offer students safe, affordable housing within the community.

The residence will help address the ongoing housing challenges faced by students, particularly those relocating to attend programs. It will improve access to education, support student success, and contribute to a vibrant campus community.

Application & Eligibility

The online application form will be available on this webpage, starting May 15, 2026.

Full-time students receive priority for residence spaces. Part-time students may be eligible depending on availability. Great Plains College reserves the right to consider other applicants based on availability.

In addition to furnished bedrooms, residents have access to a shared kitchen (including small appliances such as a toaster, coffee pot, blender and toaster oven, in addition to cookware, dishes, and utensils). The residence also include access to a washer and dryer.
