About the Project

The college is developing a new student residence located on Sidney Street East. The building was acquired in 2024 and will be renovated to offer students safe, affordable housing within the community.

The residence will help address the ongoing housing challenges faced by students, particularly those relocating to attend programs. It will improve access to education, support student success, and contribute to a vibrant campus community.

The project experienced a temporary pause as the college evaluated timelines, funding, and renovation requirements. Planning is now complete, RFPs are posted, and work is ready to resume.

Location & Building Design

The residence is located on Sidney Street East, a short distance from campus and close to key community services and amenities.

The building will feature 12 bedrooms with shared kitchen, living, and study spaces.

Final amenities will be shared in April, but students can expect features such as:

  • Shared kitchen and dining space
  • Common living area
  • Onsite laundry
  • Secure building access
  • Internet and utilities all included

Safety features will include controlled building access, visitor policies, smoke and carbon monoxide detection, and clear residence policies and support procedures. More details will be shared once residence operations are finalized.

Timelines & Construction

Renovation Request for Proposals (RFPs) have been issued and close on April 7, 2026. Once contracts are awarded, construction will begin in the spring.

Renovations will be completed in summer 2026.

We will welcome the first group of students in fall 2026. Exact move-in dates will be shared upon acceptance.

Admissions & Eligibility

Eligibility requirements will be finalized and shared in May. To be notified when more information is available, please complete this inquiry form.

Applications will open in May 2026, with an application deadline of June 30, 2026.

Rental rates and payment options will be announced in May once budget planning and operating details are complete.
