Course Description

This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to work safely in and around hydrogen sulphide (H2S) environments. It includes both theory and practical exercises focused on identifying and detecting H2S, mitigating hazards and responding to an H2S release. 

Renewal Option: If you hold a currently valid H2S certificate, you may choose the H2S Blended Renewal option 

Quantitative Fit Testing: Add a quantitative Fit Test for a full or half mask after your H2S course for an additional $29. Available with H2S Alive only.

  • Respiratory protective equipment 
  • H2S detection 
  • Initial response strategies 

Requirements

  • Be able to put on a mask and breathe under air 
  • Be able to participate in rescue drag techniques
  • Basic literacy and understanding of the course language 
  • Attend all course content and arrive on time 

Certification

Students who successfully complete the course and examination with a minimum score on 70% receive a Certificate of Completion valid for 3 years.
