Skid-Steer Operator - 16 hours

Course Description

This course provides classroom and practical training for workers operating powered mobile equipment (PME) in the workplace. Successful students receive a temporary Trainee Certificate and a supervisor form to verify supervised operating hours before and official permit is issued. 

Customized training is available for equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, zoombooms, bobcats, skid steers and telehandlers. Businesses may provide their own equipment for customized training.

Requirements

Participants must provide their own PPE:

  • Hard hat 
  • Steel-toes boots
  • Fire-resistant coveralls 
  • Work gloves 
  • Protective eyewear 
  • Hearing protection 

Certification

Successful students receive a temporary Trainee Certificate and a supervisor verification form. An official permit is issued once the required supervised operating hours are completed and the form is returned to the employer.
