Confined Space Entry Level I & II

Course Description

Confined Space Level I (Awareness)
This course is suitable for supervisors and those who will not be required to enter confined spaces but need knowledge of safe work practices and legislation for working in confined space environments. No practical components are included. 

Confined Space Level II (Entry) 
This course is suitable for workers who are required or may be required to enter confined spaces. Level II includes the Level I requirements plus practical training in a confined space simulator. 

Registration: Students registering for Confined Space courses are automatically registered for both Level I and Level II. Students who only require Level I can tell their instructor and will be dismissed after successfully completing the course and written exam. 

What You'll Learn

Level I (Awareness)

  • Safe work practices for confined spaces 
  • Confined space Legislation 

Level II (Entry)

  • Confined space entry 
  • Use of supplied air breathing equipment 
  • Donning and doffing supplied air breathing equipment 
  • Navigating a dark confined space simulator 

Requirements

Level II students must:

  • Successfully complete Level I requirements 
  • Bring and wear 
    • Coveralls 
    • Steel-toed boots 
    • Hard hat 
    • Protective eyewear 
    • Leather gloves 
  • Bring PPE suitable for season and daily weather conditions 

Certification

Level I: Three-year certificate upon successful completion of the course and written exam 

Level II Three-year certificate upon successful completion, including Level I certification
