Confined Space Entry Level I, II & III

Course Description

Confined Space Level I (Awareness)
This course is suitable for supervisors and those who will not be required to enter confined spaces but need knowledge of safe work practices and legislation for working in confined space environments. No practical components are included. 

Confined Space Level II (Entry) 
This course is suitable for workers who are required or may be required to enter confined spaces. Level II includes the Level I requirements plus practical training in a confined space simulator. 

Confined Space Level III (Rescue Fundamentals)
This course is suitable for students who require basic, practical Confined Space Rescue Training in addition to Level II training. Level III students complete the Level I and II components, plus additional practical training at the simulator site focused on basic rescue techniques. 

Students receive a comprehensive manual covering Levels I and II, as well as a detailed theory related to Confined Space Rescue.

Registration: Students registering for this course complete Levels I, II and III. Students who already hold a valid Shamrock Training Confined Space Level II certificate can add Level III at a later date.

Level II (Entry) 

  • Confined space entry 
  • Supplied air breathing equipment 
  • Navigating a confined space simulator 

Level III (Rescue Fundamentals) 

  • Basic confined space rescue techniques 
  • Practical rescue skills 

Requirements

  • Students completing Level III must complete Level I and II components 
  • Students who hold a valid Shamrock Training Confined Space Level II certificate can add Level III at a later date 
  • It is recommended that students have at least two years remaining on their Level II certification when adding Level III 

Certification

Students who successfully complete all components of Levels I, II, and III receive a three-year certification

For students adding Level III to an existing Level II certification, the Level III certification expires at the same time as the existing Level II certification.
