Fire Extinguisher Training
Course Description
Learn fire prevention, proper storage and housekeeping practices, and how to respond safely to fires.
The course includes hands-on training in the proper techniques for extinguishing live fires under the direct supervision of a qualified instructor, as well as practical scenarios using the Pyrosoft Fire Simulator Training system.
The Pyrosoft system can be customized to feature your company's buildings, grounds or assets, helping make the training as realistic as possible.
Training is available year-round and can be delivered at your location or at Great Plains College.

Certification
- Certification is optional
- Students seeking certification must complete a written examination with a minimum score of 70%
- The course can be delivered without the written exam for individuals or groups who do not require certification
- Virtual training meets OHSA training standards as an equivalent to live fire training
