The purpose of this training course is to familiarize students with the principles of design, operation, and maintenance of high pressure boilers, such as those found in the oil field. This course will prepare the student to write the exam for a provisional ticket related to oilfield boilers, dry steamers and drilling rig boilers as regulated by our provincial regulations.
Successful completion of the provincial exam along with the required number of valid approved field hours will qualify you for an Oilfield B ticket and the ability to operate oilfield boilers up to 1,000KW.
Successful completion of the provincial exam without the required number of valid approved field hours, will qualify you for an Oilfield A ticket and the ability to operate oilfield boilers up to 500KW.
