Standardized Certification
Fifth Class Power Engineers and higher are provincially standardized which allows for mobility of power engineers within Canada without further examinations. Standardized Certificates by writing standardized examination papers are recognized in all jurisdictions in Canada. The Syllabi and examination questions for all classes of power engineers are established by one organization. Great Plains College follows the standardized syllabi provided by SOPEEC.
Live, Online, Distance Education
Students will attend live, web-based classes which allows for live interaction with the instructor and other students. Students will get to know the instructor and their fellow classmates just like a regular face-to-face course.
Classes will include lectures, videos, quizzes, assignments, and other real-time presentations that are designed to best prepare students to write the provincial exam at a date, time and location that is suitable to each individual. The examination is not included in this course.
Great Plains College will provide students with a Great Plains College student email address for the duration of their course and will provide students with free access to the online platform in which to participate in live sessions and access course assignments, practice exams, chapter quizzes, etc.
Our instructor is dedicated to the success of our students! Extra help, additional review sessions, and support to students provided outside of regular course hours are often made available to students for the duration of each course and are scheduled at discretion and availability of the instructor.
