All program and non-program fees are non-refundable and non-transferable between Great Plains College locations.

Book fees

Book cost to the student should be calculated as follows: 

+ Actual cost per book

+ $4 shipping flat fee (excluding electronic resources)

+ 5% GST on total

 

Health and dental fee

  • Applies to full-time, student-loan eligible, institute credit students only.
  • Audit students are not eligible.
  • Returning students in certificate programs are not eligible for the Health and Dental program with the exception of those that are part-time their first year of program and full-time second year of program.
$252Students may opt out of the program within 30 days of their program start date by visiting www.mystudentplan.ca/gpc.

Exam Invigilation Fees

  • Includes E-cast programming exam writers.
  • Includes Parkland online students (that are not enrolled at Great Plains College).
  • Includes Water Safety exam fee in addition to invigilation fee.

Exam invigilation fee is $20 per hour per exam. Students should be charged ahead of the exam and fee based on maximum length of the exam.

For example, if the maximum length of the exam is 90 minutes, the individual should be charged $30.

The exam writers from University of Saskatchewan and University of Regina should pay the invigilation fees unless we have documentation directly from the institution that states otherwise.
Locker Fees$25 per locker per academic yearFee is regardless the length of the program. There is no pro-rating.
Student printing credits and photocopy fees0.10 per copy (print credits are sold in $5 increments)Service is only available for Great Plains College students. This service is not available for external customers.
Foreign transcript assessment 

$80 payable prior to assessment

$100 assessment for Administrative Assistant program entry

 
Language assessment (CLBPT)$60 for assessment for purposes other than admission to Great Plains College English Language TrainingPlease contact program coordinator Bula Ghosh before accepting payment for assessment.
Parking fees (Swift Current)

Lot A - $240 per academic year

Lot B - $100 per academic year

Parking permits are not available on a month-to-month basis. Students must commit and pay on a per-semester basis.

Late Fees

  • Full-time post-secondary programs
  • Adult Basic Education
$50
  • The deadline for payment of tuition and other fees is the first day of the program. Upon failure to pay a letter and email will be issued alerting students of the $50 late fee assessed on their account.  Payment of all college fees, including late fees, must be made within 15 businesses days from the date on the letter.
  • Failure to pay will result in a final letter and email and an additional $50 late fee that is due within 10 business days of the date on the letter. Students who have not paid the tuition and college fees in full by the final deadline date specified will be discontinued from Great Plains College programs and services.
  • A student may not register in another course until all outstanding fees are paid.
  • If a student is discontinued, the student will not be eligible for readmission, to any program, in the same academic year.
