This is a blended learning program. All theory will be delivered by synchronous live video and labs will be delivered in-person.

Career Opportunities

You'll be prepared to begin your career in a farming operation or to work in the retail agriculture sector. You may also continue your education and transfer into the second year of the Crop Technology Diploma program at Lakeland College where you will expand your knowledge of agronomy, production, precision farming and financial management, along with hands-on experience gained through a practicum or Lakeland's student-managed farm. 

Earning Potential

In 2023, the wage for Agricultural representatives, consultants, and specialists in Saskatchewan was $26.92-$55.29 per hour, according to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Immigration and Career Training. Employees may earn more or less depending on their employer, location, size of company, training, experience and hours worked.
