Course Description

Confined Space Level I (Awareness)

This course is suitable for supervisors and those who will not be required to enter Confined Spaces but are still required to have the knowledge surrounding safe work practices and legislation for working in Confined Space environments.  Students receive a manual and are required to successfully complete a written exam upon completion of the theory course.  No practical components are included in the Level I course.  Students receive a 3-year certificate upon successful completion.

Students registering for Confined Space courses found on our course calendar will be automatically registered for both Levels I & II.  Please tell your instructor if you do not require Level II training and you will be dismissed after successful completion of the course and written exam (around 2 pm).

 Confined Space Level II (Entry)

This course is suitable for workers who are required or may be required to enter Confined Spaces.  Students must successfully complete the requirements for Level I, plus must complete practical components that take place in a Confined Space simulator at the conclusion of the Level I theory course.  Students will be required to don and doff Supplied Air Breathing equipment and navigate through a dark simulator under supplied air.  Students receive a 3-year certificate upon successful completion that includes certification for Level I as well.  Students must bring and wear PPE to complete Level II, which includes coveralls, steel toed boots, hard hat, protective eyewear and leather gloves.  *Please be advised that practical course components completed with our portable simulator are susceptible to weather conditions of the day, so please bring PPE that is suitable for the season and daily weather.
