Innovation Credit Union Building Leaders AwardThe Innovation Credit Union Building Leaders Award will be presented annually to students entering their first year of study in their designated program at Great Plains College. Innovation Credit Union will provide two $2,000 awards which will be matched by the Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunities Scholarship program for a total of four $2,000 awards. Living Sky Casino Indigenous Adult Basic Education (ABE) Persistence AwardThe Indigenous ABE Persistence Award is provided by Living Sky Casino and Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Association (SIGA). This award is designed to recognize the perseverance of individuals in the Indigenous community by offering monetary awards to students who have demonstrated their dedication to pursuing further education at Great Plains College. A total of four awards of $500 will be provided annually for students actively enrolled in either the Grade 12/Upgrading or Pre-12 programs at the Maple Creek or Swift Current campuses. UPDATE August 21, 2020 - Please note that this award has been suspended for the 2020-21 academic year. The status of its return for the 2021-22 academic year will be determined in the future. |
SREDA Indigenous Economic Development Scholarship (SIEDS)The Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority (SREDA), Saskatchewan Indigenous Economic Development Network (SIEDN) and Great Plains College are proud to offer a scholarship for indigenous students: the SREDA Indigenous Economic Development Scholarship (SIEDS). Students who qualify for this annual scholarship can receive up to $5,000 toward their education in the Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development program in their first or second year of study. SREDA has invested a total of $10,000 to be spread across four academic years. The Government of Saskatchewan has matched this investment to total $20,000 as part of their Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship funding.
